The little mermaid

When I bought my iPad, I couldn’t wait to finally paint. I started off with this illustration of the fairytale: The little mermaid. Somehow the colors and the underwater world just spark so much joy in me.

You can see my steps from the first color moods to the final painting. I’m especially proud of the composition. I tend to make compositions that are centric but here it has some dimension and it’s quite interesting to look at.
